The 2009 Croizet Bages, a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, has a more cohesive bouquet compared to the 2008: blackberry, boysenberry, a touch of graphite and autumn leaves. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, nicely judged acidity, a little rustic perhaps but here, there is more matière on the finish. This is certainly the best Croizet-Bages in recent years. Tasted June 2015.
