Ruby red in color, initially with violet reflections, the Sangiovese is characterized by Mediterranean warmth. Tomatoes, some cooked peppers and rosemary on the nose underline this. Plums, plums and rose hips as well as some red currants offer a multi-layered dark red fruit component. Fruit never appears fully ripe, rather crunchy and fresh.
