The 2014 growing season in Barolo was challenging for most growers. This vintage was one of the wetter and colder seasons in Piedmont since the early 90s. However, 8 years on, the 2014 PK2 Bussia opens with a decaying bouquet of purple flowers and wet soil on the nose. Black fruit such as dark cherries and under-ripe plum shine on the palate while maintaining a youthful tannic structure. This bottle begs you to open for several hours, if not overnight, before diving in. A perfect option for a long meal with old friends.
