Excellent ripeness in this vintage shows through each of the many layers surrounding the core fruit essence. Typically dense and compact early on, this wine enchants with the promise of greatness. There are plenty of wood smoke, autumn leaf and roasted red fruit notes which tease and invite. The burly tannins are ripe and suave, and the overall structure is bold and powerful. This will require a bit of time and will greatly repay our patience.
