La Vizcaina by Raul Perez

Raúl Pérez Pereira is a renowned winemaker, known for his innovative approach. He produced his first vintage at 22 for his family winery and later founded Bodegas y Viñedos Raúl Pérez, which became well-known in the Bierzo appellation. He has received several awards, including "Winemaker of the Year" and "Best Winemaker in the World." Despite this, he remains humble and dedicated to his craft. His wines are known for their pure expression of the vineyards and villages they come from.

"La Vizcaína" is Raúl Pérez's endeavor to investigate the hillside vineyards surrounding his birthplace, Valtuille de Abajo. The project produces four reds and one white, all from individual vineyards, with an average vine age of over 50 years (some much older).
